Hull Marathon Guide For Spectators

GUIDE FOR RESIDENTS AND SPECTATORS

During the next two weeks we will be delivering our guide for residents and spectators to addresses around the route of the marathon. The guide contains details of this year’s event and road closures, and where to go for further information.

We recognise that closing roads for the race leads to some local disruption and have revised the route this year to minimise the impact on residents and businesses. We are delighted that Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have approved the revised route and that on race day road traffic management will be carried out by specialist company Omnis Highway Solutions Ltd.

Full details of road closures, alternative routes and crossing points are now available on our website http://ow.ly/VvaN30eN2oX and on our interactive Google map at http://ow.ly/zrw930eMI0y.

To assist local bus companies with their planning we have had meetings with Stagecoach in Hull and East Yorkshire Motor Services. The bus companies will publish details of their amended schedules in due course and we will post links to these when they are available.

We hope that residents and businesses in Hull and the surrounding area, especially those along the marathon route, will support the event and come out and cheer on the runners in this special edition of our event in Hull's year in the spotlight as 2017 UK City of Culture.

For anyone still thinking of running, places are available in the marathon, relays and Fitmums & Friends Fun Run but hurry, entries close on 17 September. For further information and online registration go to http://ow.ly/mnCO30eMM3A
